Bird Flies As Musk, Twitter CEO Yaccarino Says ‘X’ Logo Is Here

STOCKHOLM, July 24 (Reuters) – Elon Musk and Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino on Monday unveiled a logo for the social media platform that features a white “X” on a black background, replacing the familiar blue bird symbol.

“X is here! Let’s do it,” Yaccarino tweeted, also posting a picture of the logo at the company’s offices in San Francisco.

Both Yakarino’s and Musk’s Twitter handles have an X logo, although the Twitter blue bird is still visible across the platform.

In a post on Sunday, Musk said he wanted to change Twitter’s logo and polled his millions of followers to see if they would change the site’s color scheme from blue to black.

He posted a stylized X on a black space background. He also mentioned the “medieval X logo”.

Yaccarino, former head of advertising at NBCUniversal, who started as Twitter CEO on June 5, takes over as the social media platform tries to reverse a decline in ad revenue.
