Vice President Kamala Harris was interrupted by protesters Saturday at a town hall held by the nonpartisan organization Asian and Pacific Islander American Vote (APIAVote).
As he was debating former President Donald Trump’s comments, protesters protesting the Biden administration’s support for Israel’s war on Gaza began booing from the audience.
According to reporters in the room, the demonstrators — at least a small group holding a sign — interrupted and chanted, “Palestine will be free from the river to the sea.”
As he tried to continue, protesters began chanting “free, free Palestine” again, prompting supporters to drown out the protests again with “four more years”.
“We’re fighting for a democracy and democratic values where everyone has the right to speak,” Harris said, then repeated, “We’re going to have four more years.”
