Travis Kelce has broken his silence on his weekend fling with Taylor Swift — but fans will have to wait a few more hours to find out what happened between the two.
Kansas City Chiefs star Travis, who plays for the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles, and his older brother Jason have a podcast called ‘New Heights’ together and a teaser clip was sent out on social media on Tuesday night.
‘We’ve been avoiding this subject out of respect for your privacy – now we have to talk about it,’ Jason says in the 21-second clip.
“My personal life is not that private,” jokes Travis. ‘I did it myself, Jason, I know it.’
Jason continues: ‘So Trav, how does it feel to have Taylor Swift finally put you on the map?’.
The clip ends with Travis laughing, captioning the images that the full episode will start on Wednesday.
Amidst their dating links, Travis and Taylor have been buzzing for a week after she accepted his offer to watch him play for the Chiefs.
Swift, 33, sat next to Travis’ mom Donna at The Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday afternoon. He was wearing a red-and-white Chiefs jersey, but ironically, until now he was a fan of Jason’s team, the Eagles.
Travis Taylor was watching — he scored a touchdown in the Chiefs’ 41-10 victory over last season’s Super Bowl winners, the Chicago Bears.
Taylor seemed to yell ‘let’s f***king go’ in response to Kelce’s third-quarter touchdown reception as he led the Chiefs in receiving with seven catches for 69 yards and a touchdown grab.
After the game, the two were spotted together for the first time as they left the stadium side by side. Fans spotted the pair driving around Kansas City in his vintage convertible later that night.
On social media, fans raved about the new images, with one commenting: ‘Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce driving around Kansas City in a convertible is the American equivalent of the Royal Wedding.’
The 33-year-old Chiefs star first tried hooking up with Swift when her Eras tour came to Kansas City over the summer.
In a podcast with Jason he revealed that he tried to give the songwriter a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but couldn’t get through to him.
“So I was a little bummed that I didn’t hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Travis said.
‘She doesn’t meet anyone – or at least she doesn’t want to meet me. So, I took it personally.’
It was back in July. After a couple of months, Gells seems to have gotten his way. The NFL world may not have been looking forward to Wednesday’s latest episode of Kelce’s podcast.
